Hello everyone as the title says ^
Do you store your bitcoins online or on a wallet on your computer, perhaps cold storage?
I stored my bitcoin in bitcoin core, xapo, blockchain, electrum, and mycelium those are my wallets that I commonly used. I scattered it so that I have wallets where I can keep all my bitcoin in different places. I use online storage services also. To prevent possible losses I do the same you do. I store my bitcoins in different places, some amount on each place, if I lose bitcoins from a place I have all other bitcoins stored separately. It's much better than store in one place only. yes i also store my bitcoin in online store. i think it is one of the most best storage where we can keep and save our bitcoin so easily as compare to local banks etc. |

I store my bitcoins in bitcoin wallet, in my country we have coins.ph so that application is what I use to store my bitcoin. It has instant cashout you can convert your bitcoin into money in just few minutes. So for me online bitcoin wallet is the best.
I am from PH too but rather than storing my Bitcoin at coins.ph, I have myself set up a lightweight wallet to at least give myself a control over the private key of my Bitcoin. There is no doubt about the reputation of Coins.ph since it had been the major third party exchange of Bitcoin to fiat currency in our country, but i can still say it is best to have your bitcoin in your controlled address. I personally think that the desktop lightwell are a bit scary considering that you keep your private key on your personal pc which is connected to the internet and can get infested with malwares and key logs which could potentially threaten your key and your coins, so unless you have a clean system all the time and keep a backup, then you are better off putting coins in different online wallets where they have secure dedicated servers. Well, it's all about storing it in a secure way, if you have an anti-virus, that's better also. I keep mine in a cold storage. I used my old laptop and tried to create there my private keys, and it works well with what I have now. It acts as a savings account that's not easily accessed by anyone. |

I only store a limited amount of bitcoin on each of my wallet. I limit each of them to 0.2 btc only. So when someone hacks into my wallet, he won't be able to steal all my bitcoin.

I certainly try not to keep a lot on exchanges because you know anything can happen there... I try to keep them local, and some on paper wallet for long term.
For the coins I want to trade with often, I put them on local wallets with a fresh machine to avoid virus etc. Better be safe than sorry.

i think most the people who use bitcoin mostly keep their bitcoins in online wallet. i think it is one of the most reliable and convenient way of making money. |

Online wallets are by far the least reliable sort of wallet because you don't even own the Bitcoin and rely on a third party which could collapse like Mt. Gox. It's also not a way of making Bitcoin either. |

Same here, I have also my bitcoin stored on different exchanges. I spread them because I am into crypto currency trading and its easy to trade, arbitrage if ever there is an opportunity. I do maintain a local bitcoin wallet on our local exchanges for faster converting to fiat id needed. |

You must take security precautions! Hold your coins in multiple wallets its is best solution.
Blockchain,Multibit..
Also one good amount will be good to be stored in cold wallet!
Always use good strong password and change it periodically!

I keep BTC in Mutisig acc, I think so would be better. It needs more than one private key to confirm the transaction

Papers are always the best storage... place it in a dictionary and wait long term.  I have papers and nano leger... both of them are handy I do not call the paper wallet as the most safe wallet for myself because the paper can be destroyed like to be scratch but desktop wallet is the most safe because it is not scratched and remain with you whenever you have the data safe with you. |

My bitcoin i stored then in bitcoin online wallet in blockchain or in electrum. Blockchain wallet is proven that many users of this wallet. And i used a 2fa to secured them because many now are getting hacked because the low security of there wallet. |

to me i am using online wallet for keeping my bitcoins, as i fell more relax when i am using online wallet. but i always remain causious while keeping more money in online wallet and for this purpose i use more than one online wallet which prevent loosing my whole money if some one hack my account. |

To be honest sir, I dont see any reason in using many online wallets, just because if you are going to get your computer infected, splitting money between wallets may not help. That is my point of view, thats why I prefer to use paper wallet / offline wallet only, with good managing ,you may reduce the risk of getting robbed. |

For this reason I use online wallets and diversifying the big amount and keeping it into number of wallets help us to be more secure than placing big number of coins into a same wallet. |

I absolutely love my trezor personally. Very easy to use, bought one for my dad as well. The only thing im not a fan of is how when I send coins it will break them up and send it to a new address. Makes tracking my coins a pain logistically.

Doing same like as what you do. I'm completely dependent a number of online wallet ex- blockchain, xapo, mycelium, coinbase. Managing such of these online wallets just simply with the private keys, others improved security features making it just awesome. Obviously keep or store divided into little amount seems like a good idea. |

If your trying to ask like where do i store them obviously in a wallet. Like there are two types of wallet.
An online one -
It requires internet whenever you want to open it and check anything.
Example blockchain.info
An offline one -
It is most widely used as it is a offline process. You can check anything without use of internet.
Example mycelium and electurm
