House of horrors

Mother of murdered boy, 5, was told she would never see her son just before ‘grandma killed him after months of abuse’

THE grandmother charged with murdering her 5-year-old grandson told the boy's mother she would never see her son again just before his death.

Michelle Boggs was awarded custody of Keaton after his father died of an overdose last year, and refused to allow the boy to see his mother even after she had been sober for over a year.

Keaton was admitted to the hospital earlier this month in West Virginia, and staff members quickly alerted authorities due to the nature of the boy’s injuries.

His head trauma was so severe according to the criminal complaint, that the boy had bleeding on the brain.

Hospital workers became suspicious they said when the defendants' stories did not explain the injuries Keaton had sustained.

He died two days later covered in bruises and with a large laceration on his genitals.

At the time, Keaton's mother Jessika Bishop-Holt had been eagerly anticipating a reunion with her son just before the boys' death.

She had been striped of visitation rights due to her past struggles with drugs, but after getting clean was hopeful she might get to reunite with the youngest of her five children.

Jessika's mother Patty Holt said that Michelle had tried to block that from happening though in a Facebook post.

"You know Michelle Boggs you told me my daughter would never get her son so I guess you were right," wrote Patty.

"God says we must forgive and I know that is the right thing to do but I will continue to pray for God to help me because I have forgiven all in my past but this is really hard..God please help me."

In that same post she also said: "My heart is numb and I pray so hard for my daughter that is not gonna be able to give him that big hug that she has longed to do."

In another post that has since been deleted, Patty shared a photo of Keaton taken just a few weeks before his death at the boy's fifth birthday party.

The child was covered in bruises, and Patty wrote: "I just want everyone that was t this child's birthday party to get on your knees and asked [sic] God to forgive you form your silence when you see a child this bruised up."

Patty then noted how the boy still had a smile "thru [sic] all those bruises," before taking aim at the boy's guardian.

"Michelle Boggs you said you were gonna testify in court and have my daughter put away for a very long time ... she didn't have to go to court and is now 14 months clean."

Keaton's parents both struggled with addiction, with his dad Christopher losing his life last June and Jessika getting clean a few months before he passed away.

Facebook posts show that Jessika had a contentious relationship with her ex's family.

At the same time, both she and Christopher expressed their love and joy upon the arrival of Keaton in social media posts.

Michelle, 48, as well as Peter Wodzinski, 32, and his wife Chasity Wodzinski, 29, are now behind bars.

Chasity and Michelle were the boy’s biological aunt and grandmother respectively, while Peter was his uncle.

They are now facing up to 15 years in prison for their alleged crime.

Chastity had shared the photos of a bruised Keaton at his birthday party on Twitter, though when a relative reached out to her she claimed it was because the dog had knocked Keaton down the stairs.

All three are being held without bond at the North Central Regional Jail.

The Sun spoke with a family member who said they were shocked about the arrest of Chastity and Peter, noting they appeared to be great parents to their own three children.

That same individual was less surprised however to see Michelle be arrested for such a heinous crime.

"Michelle is an habitual liar always has been," said the family member.

"Michelle is an attention seeker and will do anything for attention. She has lied about her own medical issues to get attention."

The last photo Michelle posted on Facebook prior to her arrest was of her grandson, battered and bruised at his birthday with his three cousins.

He still had a big smile on his face.

Patty Holt later posted Micheeles mugshot on her Facebook, writing: "She took my grandson's life..God help her."
