Former teacher Suzanne Morphew, 49, from Maysville, Colorado, was reported missing by neighbors after leaving her home on Sunday and failing to return.

"Oh Suzanne, if anyone is out there and can hear this, that has you, please, we’ll do whatever it takes to bring you back," Barry, a business owner, said in the video.

"We love you, we miss you, your girls need you.

"No questions asked, however much they want – I will do whatever it takes to get you back. Honey, I love you, I want you back so bad," he said in the video.

The husband has offered a $100,000 reward for information on his wife's whereabouts - an amount matched by a concerned family friend.

Barry's video came as authorities announced a "personal item" belonging to Suzanne had been found.

Authorities are mounting “a comprehensive search” of the area where the new clue was found.

The sheriff’s office did not elaborate on the item, Denver CBS Local reported, but a relative of Morphew confirmed it is not her bike, which was recovered last Sunday night.

The Chaffee Country Sheriff's Office said they first received reports of Morphew's disappearance at 5.46pm on Mother's Day.

She is thought to have been riding in the area between West Highway 50 and County Road 225.

A search was launched an a request sent to the state's Department of Corrections for drones and tracker dogs to assist.

The search continued into the early hours of Monday, but Morphew was not found.

More than 100 personnel had joined the search by Monday afternoon, and agents from the FBI and the Colorado Bureau of Investigation were drafted in to help.

"She’s a beloved member of her family and the sweetest person that you’ve ever met," a neighbor said of the missing mom.
