Tristan Thompson sues woman who still claims Khloe Kardashian’s man fathered her child despite ‘negative paternity test’
TRISTAN Thompson sued Kimberly Alexander after she claimed the NBA player is the father of her child.
The 29-year-old father of two had previously taken a DNA test that determined he was not the father.
Marty Singer, Tristan's lawyer, filed a complaint for libel and demanded a jury trial against Kimberly, E! News reported Monday.
In the court documents, the lawyer alleged that the defendant is a "wannabe social media influencer and pornographic model/performer who is so desperate to achieve her fifteen minutes of fame that she recently fabricated a false claim that NBA star/Cleveland Cavaliers center/power forward Thompson is the father of her nearly five-year-old son."
The documents further claim that Tristan chose to "voluntarily" submit a DNA test to "definitely determine the child's paternity," despite believing he was not the father of her child.
Marty further explained in the court documents: "Alexander has persisted in publicly proclaiming that Thompson is her child's father and she has maliciously accused Thompson of being a deadbeat dad, 'neglecting' and failing to take financial responsibility for the child since birth.
"Such statements are absolutely false and are defamatory per se. To quote Michael Jackson, 'the kid is not [his] son.'"
The documents further claim that it's "highly suspect" that the rumored baby mama waited so long to claim Tristan is the father.
The lawyer further pointed out that "instead of accepting the DNA results and moving on, Alexander turned to social media where she posted on Instagram a copy of the private and confidential DNA report along with the following statements:
'I am extremely upset with LB genetic DNA testing with the fact that they are trying to sabotage a DNA test with Tristan [sic] Thompson regarding my son that he has been neglecting since birth I know for sure that Tristan Thompson is the father of my child.'"
He added: "After receiving the cease and desist letters from Thompson's attorneys, instead of complying with the demand that she stop defaming Thompson, Alexander doubled down on her specious claim that Thompson is the father of her son, posting statements on social media calling Thompson a liar."
On May 14, news broke that the Cleveland basketball player had taken a paternity test after a woman claimed he was the father of her son.
Khloe and Tristan then sent a cease and desist letter to Kimberly, asking her to "immediately stop defaming them with malicious defamatory lies and specious fabrications."
In the letter obtained by E!, the lawyer confirmed that Tristan did take the paternity test, which confirmed he was not the baby's father.
Kimberly reportedly requested a second test, and they agreed to do so, but only at an accredited lab.
She had previously claimed that Khloe and Tristan paid off people to "falsify a DNA test."
The attorney wrote on the letter: "After it was indisputably established by a paternity test performed by one of the most reputable labs that Mr. Thompson is not your child's father, we thought that would be the end of this.
Before the cease and desist letter, Tristan prepped Khloe for what was about to happen and revealed to her that he had indeed "had sex" with Kimberly, but that it had happened long before they were a couple.
Sources close to the NBA player reportedly told TMZ that "he had a one-night stand with the woman sometime during his rookie season in 2011-2012."
The informant also pointed out that her child could not be his since the child in question is between the ages of 4 and 5.
Tristan had to come to clean to his legal team when Kimberly made the allegations and confirmed he had sex with her, but knew he wasn't the father of her child based on the timeline.
Tristan has two children: 3-year-old Prince with model Jordan Craig, and 2-year-old True with the youngest Kardashian sister.
After splitting in 2019 over cheating scandals, sources recently told The Sun Khloe is ready to take Tristan back and the couple is spending lockdown together with their daughter.
On Keeping Up With the Kardashians, she even discussed having another baby with Tristan, and went so far as to freeze her eggs.
Despite recent fan speculation, the reality star denied the "nasty" pregnancy rumors.

Khloe has stood by Tristan's side through many scandals.
In 2019, he was accused of cheating on her with Kylie Jenner's ex-best friend Jordyn Woods, which led to their final breakup.
He was also accused of cheating with multiple women during her pregnancy in 2018.
