The Lelo Sona 2 Cruise gets a five star for pleasure.
  • Lelo Sona 2 Cruise, £97.01 (on offer) from LELO - buy here

Pros: Unique SenSonic Technology, 100% waterproof, 8 varied modes to choose from, discreet packaging

Cons: Can be intense to begin with, difficult to vary the pressure, some settings are quite loud

Rating: 5/5

Like the Womanizer Premium Eco, the Lelo Sona 2 uses its own advanced patented technology for the ultimate external stimulation.

It works by sending sonic waves to your erogenous zones to amplify the depth and quality of your climaxes. And it's powerful, something definitely worth considering before you buy because the strength is not for everyone.

It's even 100% waterproof if you fancy taking it with you into the bath, shower or any other appropriate body of water. Want to find out more?

*The We-Vibe x Lovehoney Remote Control Clitoral and G-Spot Vibrator is currently out of stock but try the similar We-Vibe Sync 2 Remote Control and App Rechargeable Couple's Vibrator
  • We-Vibe Sync 2 Remote Control and App Rechargeable Couple's Vibrator, £149.99 from Lovehoney - buy here

Pros: 10 varied settings for internal and external stimulation, Bluetooth remote control, can be used with a partner or alone, adjustable to your body

Cons: No plus or minus buttons to adjust the strength of vibrations, long charge time, remote isn’t waterproof, vibrations aren't particularly strong

Rating: 4/5

The collaboration of these two sex toy giants was as good as we could have hoped for.

Made to be used with another person, this has a whole range of uses, whether that's allowing your partner to control the 10 varied internal and external settings using the Bluetooth remote control, or just enjoying it alone.

The curved shape means it sits comfortably inside without moving around or falling out and hits all the right external and internal spots for a heightened orgasm.

The best thing about this toy is that because of its size, which is small, it can be used with a partner during sex so you both benefit from the vibrations.

It's rechargeable - although charging does take a hot minute - which means no batteries, but if you're looking for something with intense vibrations, this possibly isn't the toy for you, especially at just under £100.

Regardless of this, it's a fun addition to some solo time or something new to try with a partner. Want to know more? We've done a full We-Vibe review for you to check out before you buy.

Lelo Ina 3

8
  • Lelo Ina 3, £159 from LELO – buy here

Pros: 10 vibrating modes, 100% waterproof, soft silicone, USB charger, up to two hours on one charge

Cons: Takes a while to master the combinations of intensity with different settings, full instructions have to be downloaded from the website

Rating: 4/5

If you’re serious about your sex toys then this is the one for you. The Lelo Ina 3 offers a range of settings and power intensities that you control with the buttons on the front so you can be as gentle or as urgent as your desire demands.

Annoyingly, the instructions are online so you have to download them, but they’re pretty easy to get the hang of. You basically have four buttons that control on, off and vibration patterns. Use these in combination to increase and decrease the vibration strength and also the different patterns.

As with all rabbit vibrators, it’s a double whammy with the Ina 3 – clitoral stimulation and hitting your G-spot at the same time, hopefully resulting in that holy grail of a blended orgasm. And don’t worry if you don’t get there the first time, I can guarantee you’ll have a lot of fun trying.

Though there are only four buttons to control everything, it does take a bit of time to get used to the different combinations and changing them in use. I found the lowest vibration levels a bit of a non-event, but the highest settings can be too much. It’s trial and error until you find what works best for you.

It’s also whisper quiet, totally waterproof and it runs for up to two hours on one charge so it can keep going as long as you do.

I’m no expert, but I would say this is probably less suited to a beginner, not least because it’s a lot of money to pay if you then decide you don’t like it, but otherwise, it’s a great addition to your toy chest.

Lovehoney Magic Bullet Vibrator

8
  • Lovehoney Magic Bullet Vibrator, £12.99 from Lovehoney – buy here

Pros: Price, seven vibration patterns, three speeds, waterproof

Cons: Not rechargeable

Rating: 4/5

This is an ideal introduction if you’re new to sex toys as it’s inexpensive – and costs the same as a couple of coffees – so you’re not going to be upset if you don’t like it.

Chances are you will though, like it that is.

The Magic Bullet Vibrator has three speeds and seven different patterns so you can work your way through them to find your favourites. Be warned, it is a little noisy, with a couple of the patterns having a distinct disco beat that frankly, is a little off-putting (who needs an earworm at a time like this!)

Otherwise, it performs well with a lot of oomph for the price and it’s waterproof. It’s also petite so fits easily into your bedside drawer or toiletry bag for trips away.

It’s not rechargeable though and takes an AAA battery, which is a downside, but to be expected for such a low cost.

Pros: 20 settings each part, different speeds and rhythms chargeable

Cons: A little noisy

Rating: 4/5

If width isn't your jam then this one might not be for you, but if you're all about that girth paired with powerful vibrations internally and externally then we've found your fighter.

Add to the equation that it's rechargeable, which means no batteries or a power cable during use and you've hit the jackpot.

Womanizer Premium Eco

The Womanizer is good for you and the planet.

The Womanizer is good for you and the planet.
  • Womanizer Premium Eco, £97.99 from Lovehoney - buy here

Pros: Biodegradable and recyclable (a world first), smart silence function, discreet, pretty packaging, rechargeable

Cons: You can’t move it around, one-trick pony, splashproof, not waterproof, can be intense

Rating: 4.5/5

The Womanizer Premium Eco is one of the most technologically advanced toys of all of our tried and tested picks. Its patented 'pleasure air technology' produces soft waves rather than vibrations, ranging from very soft to powerful.

Despite its power, it's pretty quiet and discreet if that's a factor on your sex toy list.

And, as the cherry on top, it's plastic-free and sustainable, so you can enjoy your me time knowing you're doing your bit for the planet. To read more about what we thought, check out our full Womanizer review here.

Satisfyer Pro 2

The Satisfyer provides gentle and fast speeds

  • Satisfyer Pro 2, £58.95 from Satisfyer – buy here

Pros: Rechargeable, waterproof, has the option to be very gentle

Cons: No variation in vibration patterns, isn't super powerful even on its top setting, long initial charging time

Overall rating: 3.5/5

For an entry-level clitoral stimulator, the Satisfyer Pro 2 is up there with the best of them.

It doesn’t touch you but instead uses air pulse technology to create waves of vibration that can be adjusted between very gentle and intense.

It’s not a looker and resembles a hand-held fan, but we were impressed with how simple it was to operate – there’s a button to turn on the Satisfyer and a second button to control the speed.

There are 11 vibration settings in total and we found the first few just too gentle so jumped straight to the top four or so speeds, which gave more of a steady vibration.

Initially, the large head and fast vibration combination didn’t work, but we found that a lighter touch, which allowed the airflow to circulate more effectively, was key to successful use.

Where the lower settings came into their own was after orgasm, when you need a gentle touch and nothing too intense, so you can enjoy the moment leisurely and come back down.

The Satisfyer Pro 2 has received loads of five-star reviews from fans – and it is worth trying if you’ve not used anything like it before – however, we thought it could do with more power.

On the plus side, it’s waterproof so you can take it in the shower with you and it’s a lot cheaper than the Womanizer or the Lelo Sona clitoral stimulators, so we think it’s a great introduction to the genre.

It’s also rechargeable – but the initial charge can take up to eight hours so be prepared in advance so you’re not disappointed in the moment!

Ann Summers G-Spot Ripple Rampant Rabbit

The G-Spot Ripple Rampant Rabbit is a great choice for new users.
8
The G-Spot Ripple Rampant Rabbit is a great choice for new users.
  • G-Spot Ripple Rampant Rabbit, £28 from Ann Summers - buy here

Pros: Great for beginners, 10 settings, three vibration levels, great price

Cons: Have to go through all the options to reach your favourite, not rechargeable

Rating: 3.5/5

This Ripple Rampant Rabbit (say that after a few drinks) is a great entry point if you've never dabbled in the penetrative sex toy world before. It's affordable at under £30, which is a big bonus, and it stimulates multiple erogenous zones so, if you get there, expect a blended orgasm.

And even if you don't get there, the journey is still fun with a plethora of vibration strengths and patterns to get you going.

The only downside is it is battery-powered rather than rechargeable so make sure to stock up on those triple As before it arrives.

Intrigued but want a bit more info? We've got a longer review of the G-Spot Ripple in our best Rabbit vibrators piece.
