Conor McGregor is looking for next UFC target, reveals Dana White – but Nate Diaz rumour is just ‘s***-talking’

DANA WHITE has confirmed Conor McGregor is seeking his next opponent.

But the UFC head honcho has dismissed claims of a trilogy fight with Nate Diaz as “s**t-talking.”

McGregor appeared to suggest he was going to take on Diaz for a third time during Saturday’s UFC 249 event.

Diaz originally commented on a social media post by White, which was about McGregor, saying: “Shut your b***h a** up.”

McGregor responded with: “Shut your eyelid and sign the contract.”

However, White quickly poured cold water over the prospect of another clash between the pair, saying: “No [there won’t be a third].

“They don’t like each other but there’s nothing going on.

“Conor wants to fight. I don’t even know if Nate wants to fight. I think they’re just talking s**t to each other.”

White’s comments are sure to disappoint fans, who are desperate to watch McGregor and Diaz in action yet again.

The Irishman lost the first bout to his American rival in 2016 before winning a rematch just months later.

McGregor has only fought once in 2020 so far, a first-round KO of Donald ‘Cowboy’ Cerrone in January.

The ‘Notorious’ wants two more fights before the end of the year.

But it appears neither of those will be against Diaz.

Oscar De La Hoya, Jorge Masvidal and Dustin Poirier are among the six potential next opponents for McGregor that SunSport has weighed up here.
