Irishman Darragh Ennis is the newest Chaser, after joining in 2020.

He already has two nicknames in The Dublin Dynamo and D. Ennis the Menace - in a nod to his own name.

Darragh took part in the show as a contestant in 2017, performing well in the cash builder round to put £9,000 on the table.

The confident quizzer contributed 14 correct answers to his team.

Outside of being a quizzer and the new Chaser, he is also a postdoctoral researcher at Oxford University - specialising in the study of the brains of insects.

Darragh previously worked at Concordia University in Canada and Ireland's Maynooth University.

The brainiac is a qualified GP and trained at St George's Hospital in London.

But when he's not quizzing or working as a doctor, the boffin is a stand-up comedian and has made several appearances at the world famous Edinburgh Fringe Festival. Well they do say laughter is the best medicine.

He's also taken part in comedy show Taskmaster - and didn't come across as that bright!

In a July 2017 episode of The Chase, it was revealed that Paul Sinha is gay and was in an open relationship.

He claimed that producers had edited out references to his sexuality, saying: “I have been on the show for six years and I have made lots of references to being gay.

"But they mysteriously never made the edit.”

She is a competitive quizzer who has appeared on Mastermind twice.

The Chaser reached the semi-finals of BBC quiz spin-off show Are You An Egghead in 2008.

Anne has starred on Brain Of Britain, and in 2017 was ranked in 65th place in the World Quizzing Championships.

Viewers also got to witness a more vulnerable side to the ruthless quizzer when she entered the I'm A Celebrity jungle in 2018.
