AT LONG LAST?

The 100 season 7: Will Bellamy and Clarke finally have a romance and get together?

SINCE The 100 premiered on The CW in 2014, fans saw the chemistry between enemies Clarke and Bellamy and have been waiting for them to take that relationship from enemies to friends to lovers.

With Season 7 starting tonight, the countdown to see if the two leads finally take that leap and get together is on.

Clarke and Bellamy, played by cast members Eliza Taylor and Bob Morley, respectively, who recently surprised fans by revealing they’d gotten married in real life, have become incredibly close friends and co-leaders over the years, but fans want more.

Bellarke has been a fan-favorite ship since the beginning of the CW show, but only 16 episodes remain for it to become canon on the TV series.

TV guide recently asked showrunner Jason Rothenberg if there’s a chance the romance, which very much exists in Kass Morgan’s book series the show is based on, could happen in season 7 of The 100.

He cryptically responded: "I think that expectations should always be tempered for every fandom in this show.

“I won't spoil anything, but I will say that, you know, this is a show about family and about these characters taking care of each other and not wanting to lose each other.

Jason continued: “And I mean, those characters writ large across the board, not just any two characters. I apologize for my ambiguity, but again, I'm not gonna get into too much, in terms of specifics."

Meanwhile, The 100's Eliza told MEAWW that her character will be busy focusing "on restoring order and [promoting] peace,” while also mourning the loss of her mother Abby.

Still, Clarke will realize she can’t always do things on her own, as that’s “failed her many times” in the past and will need to start learn to lean on others more.

When it comes to the leader’s relationship with Bellamy, Eliza said she remembers when the two characters first started to move from enemies to friends in the show.

The 30-year-old actress shared of season 1, episode 8: "It was the first time I worked with Bob properly one-on-one.

“We worked so well together, and it was exciting to see these enemies become friends and gain respect for one another.”

As Bellamy is presumably still with Echo (Tasya Teles) and Jason told EW that when the season starts off “all the characters are separated,” fans might have to wait a few episodes to see if there’s a chance the two leads could be going down a romantic path this final season.

Jason promises “everything does come together in a very satisfying climactic way,” but viewers will have to wait to see what that entails.

He added: “[Clarke’s[ going to go literally to the ends of the universe to get her people back, her family back, and people that she loves back.”
