Speaking to Loose Women today, Jesy said: "No one knew about this [the trolling] and that’s why I didn’t speak about it for such a long time because I just kept thinking, 'If I keep talking about this, it’s never going to go away.'

"But what I learned was that by not talking about it made it a lot worse for me. "

The 28-year-old went on: "There was a point halfway through filming when I messaged my friend, Adam the director, and I said, 'I don’t want to do this anymore.'

"I was just terrified, I was so scared it would be 10 times worse when it came out."

Jesy added that she thinks the documentary has helped people understand the affect trolling can have.

She said: "I think it’s opened up a lot of peoples’ eyes and people are a lot more aware of what [trolling] can do to someone’s mental health."

The Woman Like Me singer also talked about how, at the height of her depression, she couldn't face performing onstage with the other Little Mix girls.

The singer - who won an NTA for Odd One Out - said: "A lot of the time with performers we go on stage and it’s a character that we play and that’s what I try to do, but a lot of the time I wouldn’t even go on stage.

"There was so many times when I would cancel shows because I couldn’t bear people looking at me."

After opening up on Loose Women, Jesy returned to her glamorous pad where she's isolating.

She treated fans to several videos of her dancing in a low-cut top at home and in her car.

Jesy later posted a throwback video of herself strutting onstage in a bodysuit on Instagram.

She captioned it: "Me walking out of lock down like... hey, where there party at?"
