The Charge 3 was previously listed at around £129.99, as the company’s premium fitness tracker.

But you can now save over a third on what is still a handy bit of kit for those looking to keep active.

The official Charge 3 product page on Amazon is where you need to go, but the saving depends on which colour tracker you prefer.

For three colours you can save £50 (38%), and for two special editions £43.50 (£29%).

For the maximum saving of £50, you’ll need to opt for Graphite/Back, Rose-gold/Berry or Rose-gold/Grey.

While the £43.50 saving is for the more popular special editions: Lavender and Frost White.

Beyond the saving, all Charge 3 trackers available at a discount have the same capability.

They feature heart rate and swim tracking, and a quoted seven day battery.

Water-resistant to 50m, you can expect the Charge 3 to track your time in the pool or walking, running, and most kinds of physical activity.

And like other Fitbit devices, you can track sleep trends to get an idea of your nocturnal routines.

Fitbit Charge 3 vs Fitbit Charge 4 - what's the difference?

The Charge 4 doesn’t represent a completely new device when compared to the Charge 3, but there are a handful of new features.

The key change is the addition of GPS, which is new for Fitbit’s fitness trackers and previously limited to the company’s smartwatches.

A second difference is the addition of NFC (near-field communication) as standard. That means Charge 4 owners can use Fitbit Pay with their tracker, whereas only special edition Charge 3 owners can.

The other key changes are the addition of Spotify and Agenda ‘apps’ for the Charge 4, linked to your smartphone, and the Active Zone Minutes feature.

Active Zone Minutes is for those looking for more health data, as it provides added information about peak heart rate, cardio performance and more personalised information about workouts.

If that all sounds tempting, the Charge 4 is available for £129 from retailers, including Amazon.

Alternatively, if you’d rather save on the Charge 3, you can save up to £50 and pick one up for £79.99.
