DOCTOR Hilary Jones is a well known face on morning telly, thanks to his long career with ITV.

Who is Doctor Hilary Jones?

Dr Hilary Jones, 67, was born on June 19, 1963 - so it is his birthday TODAY.

He is a GP, TV presenter, medical broadcaster, author and public speaker.

He qualified in 1976 at The Royal Free Hospital in London having studied art at A Level then converting to a six year medical degree.

In 1979 Hilary worked for a year as a medical officer on the volcanic islands of Tristan da Cunha, before becoming a GP for the oil industry at Sullom Voe in Shetland for Offshore Medical Support, after that he worked as a GP in Basingstoke.

What TV shows has Dr Hilary been on?

It was in 1986 that Dr Hilary began his television career, presenting educational programmes for British Medical TV.

In 1989 Hilary joined TV AM as the ITV breakfast show's resident on-air doctor.

When the programme switched to GMTV in 1993, he went with it, and he did the same when the show became Daybreak in 2010.

He is now a regular on Good Morning Britain and Lorraine, and is the Health Editor for ITV’s breakfast television.

Dr Hilary also took part in Dancing on Ice back in 2010 and The Chase Celebrity Special in 2013.

The good doctor can also be found giving medical advice to listeners on Steve Wright's BBC Radio 2 show.

Is Doctor Hilary married?

Dr Hilary has been married three times.

His first wife was Anne Marie Vives, whom he married in 1977 but divorced in 1987.

Hilary then married Sarah Harvey in 1990, but the couple split in 2009.

The doc then married his third wife Dee Thresher in 2016.

He has five children.
