NORMAL People fans have been left furious after its stars gave away a major finale spoiler on The One Show.
The hit BBC drama's lead actors - Daisy Edgar-Jones and Paul Mescal - appeared on Monday's edition of the BBC show to discuss the series' success.
Normal People - which is an adaptation of the Sally Rooney novel - was made available to binge watch on BBC iPlayer as well as playing out episodically with two episodes every Monday on BBC One.
However Daisy, 21, appeared to forget some viewers might have been savoring the episodes each week and dealt a massive spoiler when asked if there would be a series two.
Daisy, who plays Marianne, said via video link from home: "I hope that they remain that level of settled and happy that they get by the end of the series.
"I really think it's wonderful that Marianne kind of enables Connell to follow his dream as a writer in New York.
"So, I really hope that he sticks at it, and he carries on doing what he loves.
"And Marianne, I kind of imagine that she moves in with Lorraine and they have quite a happy little life together."
Host Alex Jones then admitted it was hard to interview the pair without spoiling the series for viewers, but for many watching it home it was already too late.
One wrote angrily on Twitter: "#TheOneShow #NormalPeople 'no spoilers' You’ve just spoilt it!"
