Is the book 365 Dni different to the Netflix film?

The 365 Days movie is based on the book 365 Dni by Blanka Lipinska.

The Polish word dni translates into days in English.

The film was released on Netflix following the success of the book.

Much like Fifty Shades Of Grey, the film sticks closely to the plot of the novel.

The film dropped on Netflix in 2020, with follow-up This Day landing on the streaming service in April 2022.

What is 365 Dni about?

WARNING: Spoilers from the 365 Dni book and movie.

The plot follows Laura Biel - a successful sales director at a luxury hotel in Poland and a young and handsome man called Massimo Torricelli who becomes a leader of the Sicilian mafia after his father's assassination.

Trying to save her failing marriage, Laura plans a birthday trip to Sicily, but all does not go to plan when she is kidnapped by Massimo and kept captive in his villa.

Massimo then gives Laura the ultimate task - she must fall in love with him within 365 days.

The movie and the book finish in the same way.

As the end approaches, Laura, who has fallen for the mafia don, is coming back from shopping for her wedding dress with her friend Olga.

He tries to call and warn both Laura, but to no avail.

As Massimo finally contacts her, Laura's car goes into a tunnel resulting in her losing the signal.

Unable to get his lover on the phone Massimo realises what happened and falls down, screaming.

There is a far shot of the entrance of the tunnel, with a police car waiting.

So viewers are left wondering if Laura has been killed.
