SANDRA Redknapp won the heart of the nation while her husband Harry won I’m A Celebrity.
But behind closed doors, the doting wife and mother has a history of heartache dating back 10 years.
In 2008 Sandra’s twin sister Patricia – married to Frank Lampard Snr and mum to England and Chelsea ace Frank – passed away at the age of 58 10 days after being admitted to hospital with severe pneumonia. She was just 58.
Discussing the impact it has on his wife, Harry told The Sun: “Pat had never had a day’s illness then suddenly within three or four days we lost her.
“Sandra and her were so close, it was crazy — they were always on the phone for hours every day.”
Patricia’s son Frank was left heartbroken and turned to Sandra for support, in particular on his wedding day to TV presenter Christine Bleakley in 2015.
A tearful Frank paid tribute to his mum on his wedding day as he told friends and family how much she would have liked Christine.
This year the couple paid their respects again as they named their first born child Patricia.
Throughout all her heartache Sandra has remained a constant support for husband Harry, who she met when they were both 17.
During his stint on I’m A Celebrity, Harry melted hearts across the nation when he discussed his wonderful 51-year marriage.
For many the highlight of the series was when Sandra surprised the football manager in snake rock and he burst into tears.
Harry later told The Sun how their marriage survived after he was sacked as a manager, charged with tax fraud and lived through a minibus crash that killed a close friend.
He also famously ran Sandra over in 2016 - and amazingly she forgave him.
Unaware that Sandra’s coat tail was trapped in the door of his Range Rover door, Harry drove away, dragging her down the road.
He said: “She never said to me, ‘You should have watched what you were doing’ or made me feel bad.
“Even when she was laying with a broken ankle in the road she was just unbelievable, she didn’t scream.”
