She says it's a chance for her to let loose after steering clear of booze for the majority of 2020.

It's a far cry from how she's spent her previous birthdays falling out of clubs and pubs.

This year the former glamour model plans to live stream her celebrations with her favourite cocktail.

A pal told The Sun Online: "This year Katie is planning on hosting a lockdown party to celebrate turning 42.

"She plans to address her family, friends and supporters in a birthday speech and ask them to all raise a toast to everyone in the world who are united in this pandemic.

"After three months sober, Katie says she's going to keep boozing to special occasions so will treat herself to a birthday cocktail and show her guests how to make her favourite alcoholic drink.

"She couldn't think of anything more fun that to share her birthday this way, to toast all together as one massive family."

Katie confirmed her plans to The Sun Online saying: “Life is so precious and with my birthday around the corner I want everyone to make a toast to all and those we love. This is the new normal I guess."

We revealed this week that Katie passed all the tests to show she’s been drug and alcohol free for three months since going to rehab.

The reality star went to The Priory in January after struggling to cope - and filmed the whole thing for her TV show My Crazy Life.

Katie proudly revealed it was the most empowering feeling in the world - other than the birth of her five kids.

Her publicist added: “Katie has passed both a drug and alcohol test with no traces of either in three months.

“Katie is not only is determined to make the changes but to stick to them, no more second chances - Katie's had a real wake up call.

“Katie has journeyed a long way since being admitted to the Priory. She has addressed her greatest fears, the demons that haunted her and is growing into a strong independent woman - ready now to face life’s demands and challenges.

“The test is a part of that change and growth, this very much validates the person she is today and how far she has come.

“Not only does this show courage and willing to make a difference in not only her life but to those she loves the most-  her children, close family and friends who have been there to support her through what has been a changeling and emotional time.”

Katie admitted taking cocaine to "numb the pain" and says she has been "going off the rails" for just over 10 years.
