GORDON Ramsay goaded his neighbours in Cornwall after going on a 'virtual' cycling trip at his £4million holiday home, telling them: "It's on an app - don't get your knickers in a twist."
The 53-year-old TV chef, who has been criticised for swapping London for his country pad and going on a 26-mile bike ride, called on locals to "calm down" in a new Instagram video.
Getting his breath back after finishing a 54-minute bike trip on home cycling app Zwift, he said: "King of the mountain - done. Bloody hell, what a race.
"A tough ride, that. Whoever thought of the app Zwift is a bloody genius. Two and a half thousand riders.
"Relax neighbours, it's all indoors, on an app. Don't get your knickers in a twist. Calm down.
"However, what a f***ing workout that is. Slightly slower, it's not about the speed, it's about the determination, the guts to get there."
The star showed followers his stats, revealing he burnt 519 calories on the ride, but added that he didn't like the virtual rider the app had given him.
Gordon said: "Not too sure about the ginger hair though, Zwift. Seriously. I am Scottish, agreed, but really."
Ironically, the indoor bikes comes after lockdown rules changed, with Brits now able to do unlimited outdoor exercise, whereas before people were told to go out once a day and stay close to home.
The star ended up in locals' bad books after he and his family relocated to their second home during the ongoing coronavirus pandemic.

And there was further backlash when the TV chef enjoyed a long, scenic bike ride around Cornwall - ending up miles away from home despite government guidelines.
Posing behind his beloved bike alongside his lookalike youngest son Oscar, one, Gordon wrote: "Sunday funday 26.2 miles DONE !"
He later took his family for a walk on the beach after being warned over breaking lockdown rules.
