Adele takes up Reformer Pilates with pal Ayda Field to lose more than a stone after marriage split from Simon Konecki
ADELE’s split from husband Simon Konecki could have sent her on a downward spiral and given fans another of her trademark heartbreak ballads.
But the superstar hasn’t spent any time moping.
I can reveal she has shifted more than a stone after taking up Reformer Pilates with pal Ayda Field, and has told pals she’s feeling better than ever.
The exercise classes involve a strange contraption to improve posture, flexibility and balance.
Jennifer Aniston, Kate Winslet and Madonna are fans of the workout, and on the right I’ve mocked up a snap of Adele doing it.
She showed off her new frame in a picture with Spice Girls Mel B, Emma Bunton, Geri Horner and Melanie C after seeing their show at Wembley on Saturday.
She was also seen rapping Nicki Minaj’s verse in Kanye West’s song Monster at a party in Los Angeles this month. And in March fans spotted her with Hollywood star Jennifer Lawrence on a night out a New York gay club.
A source close to the star said: “Adele has been out enjoying herself and she sees that as her priority at the moment, along with being a mum to Angelo. She has been loving her new workout regime and it really works for her.
“It’s a bonus that she has shifted some weight. Her mates are glad she’s letting loose and there’s nothing but good feelings towards her. She’s got a new lease of life.”
The wait for another weepy album might be a long one.
Mel B has blasted Victoria Beckham for snubbing the Spice Girls tour’s final shows last week to go to the US and footballer Sergio Ramos’ wedding in Seville.
Mel told Good Morning Britain: “I expected her to come and just say, ‘Hi’ at least. I’m sure she has her reasons for not. But yeah it is disappointing.”
She always lives up to that Scary Spice nickname.

Yesterday (12A) 116mins
I SENT my reporter Howell Davies to see the new Danny Boyle and Richard Curtis film . .
WHEN it comes to rom-coms, it’s all too easy to fall into the traps of being sickly sweet and stereotypical. And while the plot to Yesterday seems bonkers, it is brought to life on screen by an exceptional cast, a heartwarming script and music from The Beatles.
Brilliant leading man Himesh Patel, plays aspiring singer Jack Malik, who wakes after a road accident to discover The Beatles never existed. He then passes off their hits as his own.
No one is going to win an Oscar – especially not Ed Sheeran – but for a fun and feelgood film it is everything you want. It will make you laugh, maybe even cry, and you’ll come out of the cinema with a big, goofy grin.

ED SEES BIG FUTURE FOR YESTERDAY MAN
EX-EASTENDER Himesh Patel plays an unlikely superstar in film Yesterday, featuring Beatles songs.
But co-star Ed Sheeran believes he has what it takes to make it for real, insisting he should go into music.
On the actor’s talent, he said: “I got goosebumps the first time I heard him sing The Long And Winding Road during our songwriting competition scene.
“That’s when I knew it was going to be a truly special film. Himesh’s voice is beautiful, and he did wonders to the songs.
“I don’t know what his plans are for the future, but I think he should make an album.”
Ed and Himesh were both on the red carpet at the UK premiere in central London’s Leicester Square last night ahead of the film’s release a week on Friday.
Joining them was Himesh’s on-screen love interest Lily James.
Dodgy geezer James
ANYONE for dodgeball? Here’s James Corden enlisting celebs for a UK v US game.
The Brits, in red, included Game of Thrones’ John Bradley, Harry Styles, James himself and Benedict Cumberbatch – helped by US comic Reggie Watts.
Michelle Obama led the Yanks, in blue, including Mila Kunis and Kate Hudson.
It was filmed in LA for James’ US telly slot The Late Late Show and aired on Sky One and Now TV last night – the first of five nightly shows until Friday as he visits the UK.

Tove’s Lo-down on drugs in showbiz
TOVE LO has sung about drug use on all three of her albums but the singer is sick of being asked about it because she claims she is not the only one using them.
The Swedish pop star insists drugs are still rife in the music industry, and that she is one of few who admits to taking them.
In an exclusive interview, Tove said: “It’s not all I sing about, but people choose to listen to that.
“Is it because most pop girls pretend that they don’t do anything bad, ever? If someone asks me a question I will answer it honestly, and people are so used to a public person lying.
“I still love going to raves and having escape nights.
“People still do it, man. It’s just more contained.”
Tove, who has just released the brilliant video for her new tune, Glad He’s Gone, will put out fourth album Sunshine Kitty this year and it is her most positive record yet. She explained: “It’s very much a happier album – the tone is sunnier, maybe from living in LA for a few years now – but it’s also about being OK needing people.
“I’ve always been very independent and like, ‘I don’t need anyone, I can live my life, I’ve got this’.
“I went through this really bad break-up. I had to really reach out to my friends and family and be like, ‘I need you’.
“I think this is the aftermath of that, in a good way.
“It’s the acceptance of being vulnerable, instead of being scared of it.”
