The warning label cautions that the chicken strips have a fiery chilli breadcrumb coating.

The chicken strips are made using the Carolina Reaper - the world's hottest chilli is said to be 230 times spicier than a jalapeño pepper.

The chilli scores 720,000 on the Scoville Scale - making them even hotter than the chicken thighs the supermarket was selling last year.

Spotted by members of the Snack Reviews Facebook group, others started to dare each other to try the "very hot" chicken strips.

Iceland is no stranger to taking on a spice challenge, having introduced its super spicy chicken wings to the market in April.

In fact, the wings used the same Carolina Reaper spice as these chicken strips - and were deemed so hot, gloves were needed.

Available to order online and in store, the chilli chicken strips will cost you £3 if you think you can take the heat.

Remember, the chicken strips are limited edition so won't be around forever - don't miss out if you want to try them.

It's a great challenge for spice lovers but Iceland do only recommend customers to eat the strips under adult supervision.

One man had to go to hospital and couldn't get rid of thunderclap headaches for a month after eating the Carolina Reaper.
