But nowadays you can have all the luxury for just a fraction of the price thanks to brands such as Lay-Z-Spa.

The inflatable hot tubs are relatively easy to build and are often for sale for less than £400.

But they’re selling out fast – so make sure you keep an eye out for them.

Here are some of the best places to buy hot tubs for the cheapest prices.

Argos

The high-street store is currently the only UK retailer that has hot tubs in stock, at the time of publication.

It has in stock the Lay-Z-Spa Cancun two to person Hot Tub for £320, although it is only available for home delivery, which costs from £6.95 because it is a large item.

The retailer is also selling the Lay Z Spa Bali two to four person LED Hot Tub for £400 and the slightly pricier Lay-Z-Spa St Moritz five to seven person Hot Tub for £600.

Again, these two are available for home delivery only.

Argos's website says stock is currently limited for all three models, so you will need to check if they are available in your area.

What other stores sell hot tubs?

As the warm weather in the UK continues, demand for hot tubs has soared.

These stores usually sell hot tubs but they are currently out of stock.

Make sure you check back frequently though as they could be for sale soon.

B&Q has a range of inflatable hot tubs for sale from £130 to £790. Brands B&Q stock include CleverSpa and Lay-Z-Spa.

They're all currently out of stock online, but you can check your local branch to see if there are any in store. Find your nearest store using B&Q's store locator tool.

The only hot tubs it has in stock at the moment are made by Canadian Spa, and cost a less affordable £4,590 for a two-person tub or £5,995 for the six-person version.

B&M's hot tubs sell out every time they are in stock - and this year is no exception.

For £250, shoppers can usually buy the Bestway Lay-Z Spa Miami, which is often a lot cheaper than other stores.

But B&M's website says its hot tubs are now sold out for this year - and they won't be getting any more in stock until 2021.

But you could check your nearest branch to see if there are any left in stock. You can find it using B&M's store locator tool.

  • Homebase

The DIY shop has a range of hot tubs, from £365 to £600, however, the inflatable models are not in stock right now.

Make sure you check your nearest store, using the locator tool, to see if you can find any in store.

The cheapest hot tub Homebase has in stock online is a four-person Canadian Spa Okanagan model for a pricey £3,215.

  • George

The homeware brand at Asda was selling a two to four person CleverSpa Borneo for £300, one of the cheaper prices for a hot tub out there.

At the moment it is listed as out of stock online, but Asda's website does say that it is worth checking your local store to see if there are any left.

To find your nearest George, use the store locator tool.

  • The Range

The Range has a wide selection of hot tubs on sale, from £349 to £799. Like the other websites, they are all currently sold out.

The Range has stores across the UK, so use the store locator tool to see if your nearest branch has one in stock.

  • Amazon

Even Amazon's extensive selection of hot tubs has not escaped the demand and nearly every stockist is sold out.

However, one seller is offering the Avenli two to four person hot tub for £599.95 with delivery between August 21 and 24.

  • Very

Clothing and homewares retailer Very.co.uk has also waded into the trend and usually sells the Lay-Z-Spa Vegas Pool.

It's also for two to four people and costs £399.99.

Make sure you keep checking to see when it is back in stock.

Record demand for inflatable pools, deck chairs and parasols has caused a national shortage as people look to create the holiday experience at home.

If you're looking for other ways to jazz up your outside space, B&M has reduced its six-piece garden set to a bargain £10 - although you'll have to be quick to get your hands on one.

Meanwhile, shoppers are raving about a £13 neck fan from Amazon.
