Builder, 45, appears in court for murder after ‘beautiful and kind’ mum-of-one girlfriend, 26, is found dead
A BUILDER today appeared in court charged with the murder of his "beautiful and kind" mum-of-one girlfriend.
Amy-Leanne Stringfellow, 26, was declared dead at the scene shortly after emergency services arrived at the home in Doncaster on Friday.
Her boyfriend Terence Papworth, 45, has been accused of murdering the ex-Army fitness fanatic during a lockdown visit.
He appeared at Doncaster Magistrates' Court today where he spoke only to confirm his name, address and date of birth.
He was remanded in custody to appear again at Doncaster Crown Court on Wednesday.
Amy, who has a young daughter, and builder Papworth had been in a relationship since last October but they had not moved in together.
She instead travelled the four miles from her home in Doncaster to see her lover at his home in nearby Balby.
TRAGIC DEATH
Emergency services rushed to a home on Dryden Road at 11.35pm on Friday to reports of a woman with serious injuries.
Upon arrival, personal trainer Amy was found to be critically injured and was pronounced dead at the scene a short time later.
Her heartbroken family today paid tribute to the mum-of-one, describing her as "beautiful and kind".
They said: "Our hearts are broken and will never truly be repaired.
"You were beautiful and kind and inspired so many others.
"We know you will live on in your little girl.
"We love you all the pennies in the world."
