Police arrest 1 suspect in SE Portland robbery; 2nd suspect remains on the run

PORTLAND, Ore. – Police took an armed robbery suspect into custody Friday morning. Another suspect is still at large.

Portland Police Bureau called off the search for the second suspect in the area of SE Holgate Boulevard and SE Boise Street around 8 a.m.

Officers closed the area between 112th and 115th avenues and established a perimeter while they searched for the two suspects.

Police said the 82nd Street Bar and Grill was robbed at gunpoint at approximately 2:30 a.m.

They were looking for two possible suspects. They said they were armed with a knife and a handgun during the robbery.

Police said one of the suspects is a white man and the other is a black man. They said both are shorter in stature.

When police responded to the reported robbery, they saw a vehicle driven out of the area of the robbery at high speed.

They said the driver crashed in the area of SE 112th Avenue and Boise Street and the two occupants ran from the scene.

The Portland Police Bureau’s Special Emergency Reaction Team and Crisis Negotiation Team are assisting East Precinct officer to find the suspect.

Police ask the public to avoid the area.
