Verizon’s payment plan will be $31.25 a month for 24 months, while T-Mobile’s plan requires you to put $30 down and pay $30 a month for 24 months. Sprint’s payment plan is $33 a month for 18 months, and then you can choose to return it or pay for six more months and own the phone.

While Sprint’s pricing isn’t great if you’re buying the phone on your own, there are some cases where you can get a good deal on it. It’s running a lease one, get one promotion, but you’ll need to open up two new lines of service or upgrade two phones. There are situations where that might work out, such as if you’re a current customer and your phone and a family member’s are up for upgrades anyway. But be aware of the fine print: you’ll have to remain a Sprint customer for the duration of the lease, and you’ll only get it free during the lease period — you’re still on the hook for the remaining cost of the “free” phone, which is about $200.

Preorders for the G7 ThinQ begin this Friday, May 25th, for Sprint and T-Mobile, while Verizon preorders begin a day earlier, on May 24th.
