HP and Asus both unveiled their ARM-powered Windows 10 laptops last month, and now it’s Lenovo’s turn. At CES this week, Lenovo is unveiling the Miix 630, a 2-in-1 detachable tablet / laptop hybrid that’s similar to the company’s previous Miix tablets. While the device also looks similar to a Surface Pro, the screen detaches from the keyboard base into a true tablet, and even the kickstand at the rear folds up instead of down. Lenovo is shipping this particular model with the keyboard and stylus supplied for $799.

Lenovo is using a 12.3-inch WUXGA+ screen, paired with 4GB or 8GB of RAM, and storage options up to 256GB. There’s only a single USB-C port on the Miix 630 so you won’t be able to connect up multiple accessories and charge at the same time, but there’s a microSD slot for extra storage. Lenovo is also including a Windows Hello-compatible camera on the Miix 630, so you can log into Windows 10 with your face.

The most interesting part of the Miix 630 is the Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 processor inside. This makes it only the third device we’ve seen running Windows 10 S and an ARM processor. Like HP and Asus’ models, you can upgrade free of charge to Windows 10 Pro to get full desktop apps support using Microsoft’s special emulator. We’re still not sure exactly how well that will work, as the devices we’ve seen so far have all been running the default Windows 10 S configuration.

Lenovo is promising 20 hours of battery life, and LTE support is built straight in thanks to the Qualcomm chip. Whether we’ll actually see close to that type of battery life will have to wait until we get an opportunity to review the trio of ARM-powered Windows 10 laptops. Lenovo is planning to release the Miix 630 in Q2, priced at $799 with the stylus and keyboard attachment.
