Police seek suspect in Family Dollar store robbery

Incident occurred Oct. 14 at store located in 4600 block of FM 78

SAN ANTONIO – The San Antonio Police Department and Crime Stoppers want the public’s assistance in tracking down the person responsible for a store robbery.

According to police on Oct. 14 a man walked into a Family Dollar store in the 4680 block of FM 78 and brought a remote control toy to the counter. That's when, police said, the suspect handed the employee a $20 bill for payment.

When the employee opened the register, the suspect pointed a handgun at the cashier and demanded all the money, police said.

The suspect took the money and left the store, last seen heading towards a Valero Corner Store.

Anyone with any knowledge of the robbery is urged to call Crime Stoppers at (210) 224-STOP.

Crime Stoppers will pay up to $5,000 for information that leads to an arrest.
