Eight-car lineup coming from Mattel in the summer

Mattel has announced that Mario Kart will be its next branded line of die-cast collectible slot-racing cars.

Eight familiar faces from Nintendo’s venerable driving series were shown in an Instagram post from San Diego Comic-Con 2019.

The toys will be $4.99 each. It appears that the launch lineup will be Rosalina, Wario, Yoshi, Toad, Luigi, Peach, Bowser and Mario. Anyone headed to San Diego Comic-Con 2019 this week can check them out in a booth there.

A Mattel representative said that playsets will accompany the cars’ launch in June 2019, but didn’t have any other details.
