From 1768-1771 James Cook travels to Tahiti to watch the transit of Venus,
explores the coasts of New Zealand, discovers the Australian east coast and
sails through Strait Torres.

1772-1775. Cook sails around the world at high southern latitude, and so
finally disspells the myth of Terra Australis.

1776-1780. Cook explores the North American west coast, and disspells yet

Islands (Hawaii).
