If you want to cut the cord, but can’t abide earbuds, Sony’s popular on-ear MDRXB650BTs are on sale for $65 right now with promo code ALT8C, an all-time low. These include NFC pairing, a built-in microphone, and 30 hours of battery life, and you even get your choice of three different colors.

Note: You won’t have the option to enter a promo code unless you sign into a Rakuten account. Guest checkout won’t work.

Anker recently made a new version of its popular PowerCore 13000, this time with a USB-C input port. To be clear, that port won’t charge your phone; it’s only for recharging the battery itself. But that means if you already carry a USB-C charger for your phone or laptop, you can use it for your battery now too, rather than schlepping a gross old microUSB cable with you.

$28 is an all-time low, and it’s actually $8 less than the old, otherwise identical microUSB version.

We’ve seen USB battery packs that can jump start a car, and we’ve seen USB battery packs that can charge new MacBooks and Nintendo Switches, but this is the first we’ve found that can do both.

This 20,000mAh battery pack from iClever includes USB-C Power Delivery, which can push up to 30W to your high-powered USB-C devices, sufficient to charge a 12" MacBook at full speed, or charge your Nintendo Switch in portable mode while you’re playing a game. There are also two standard USB ports for phones and other devices, including one with Quick Charge 3.0 support.

The battery’s other neat trick is a set of detachable jumper cables that can start a dead car battery. It’s rated for 800A, which should be sufficient to start basically any regular car engine, up to 8L (or 6.5L if it’s a diesel vehicle). People never think they need one of these things until they really, really need one.

Int. Board Room - Night

Anker executive: I want a charger with 10 ports.

Anker engineer: That’s madness sir, that’s too many ports.

Anker executive: <Takes drag from unreleased Anker vape> Is there any way I could change your mind? Alexa, turn on the light.

Both men look to the corner of the room, where the Eufy Genie has illuminated a Eufy smart light bulb, revealing a body guard who had been hiding in the shadows. He approaches the engineer and binds his hands and legs behind the chair with PowerLine+ Lightning cables, and covers his mouth with Anker-branded packing tape.

Anker executive: 10 ports.

Anker enginner: <Nods>

Google Home got a couple of new siblings last week, but the original remains unchanged, and well worth today’s $90 deal on Rakuten. Just be sure you’re logged into a free Rakuten account, and use promo code ALT18 at checkout to save big.

With its ability to work on any surface, including glass, the Logitech MX Anywhere mouse has always been a reader favorite. And today, you can save on its sequel.

All the features you know and love from the original are still here, but the MX Anywhere 2S adds in Logitech’s new FLOW cross-computer control, which lets you use one mouse to control multiple computers at once, and even copy and paste content between them. Even if you never use that feature though, it’s a great mouse with 70 day battery life, a best-in-class sensor, and easy Bluetooth or USB pairing to up to three devices. Not bad for $63.

You probably keep a lot of charging cables, battery packs, hard drives, and other sundry tech accessories rattling around in your bag, and your collection is unlikely to shrink any time soon. But it’s easy to keep them organized and untangled with this $11 organizer, which is big enough to hold an iPad mini-sized tablet, plus a ton of various accessories.

Smartphone and Alexa-powered smart plugs are the easiest way to get started with home automation, and a two-pack for $37 is one of the best deals we’ve seen. This probably isn’t a brand you’ve heard of, but Amazon’s promoting them as a Gold Box deal, so they should be fine.

Sometimes, I’m still amazed that you can get a 55" TV for $398, let alone one with 4K resolution, HDR10 support, built-in Roku software, and the ability to use your phone as a remote. This has gotten down to this price a few times in the past, but it usually sells out quickly and goes back to $450.

It’s 1-3 weeks backordered, but Amazon tends to under-promise in that department, at least in my experience.

There’s a new SONOS in town, which means you can score one of the best discounts ever on the still-great PLAY:1, as well as the PLAY:5, which didn’t get updated last week. Just note that you’ll need to have an Alexa device tied to your Amazon account for these promo codes to work.

Update: The SONOS PLAYBAR also comes with $40 Amazon gift card right now, plus six months of Amazon Music Unlimited.

Update 10/10: Price went up by a $1 but still a good deal.

If your Eneloop AA collection isn’t quite as big as it could be, you can supplement it with an 4-pack of AmazonBasics high capacity AAs for $9 today.

If you believe some reviewers, these may actually be rebranded Eneloops themselves. We can’t verify that claim (though like Eneloops, they were produced in Japan and pre-charged with solar energy, which seems really specific to be a coincidence), but whatever their origin, they have great reviews, and a stellar price tag.

We’ve seen our fair share of USB power receptacle deals, but this $14 model from iClever is one of the most affordable options yet. Half the things you plug in these days probably plug into USB, so it just makes a ton of sense to install these.

Why should your smart speaker, toothbrush, candles, and potted plants take up precious counter space when you can just add a shelf to a power outlet? This thing holds 10 pounds, and is only $15 today.

If you’re still wrestling with a terrible inkjet printer at home, do yourself a solid and pick up the reliable Brother HL-2380DW monochrome laser printer today for just $99 today, about $30-$50 less than usual.

While it doesn’t print in color, it more than makes up for that with the ability to spit out 32 pages per minute, duplex printing, and inexpensive toner cartridges that can last for years without being replaced. We’ve posted a lot of Brother deals in the past, and we’ve heard nothing but good things from readers about them. Plus, this particular model has a sterling 4.4 star review average on Amazon, a built-in scanner, and AirPrint and Google Cloud Print support, so it should serve you well for years.

VPNs are in the news these days, and with good reason. So if you’re curious to sign up and start protecting your browsing history and personal data (or, you know, getting around websites’geoblocks), NordVPN charges less per month than a typical trip to Starbucks.

NordVPN has long been one of the most popular and reliable VPN providers out there, and if you sign up for a one-year membership, promo code VIP70 will drop your annual price from $69 to $48. If you’re sure you want to commit, use this link instead to get a special two year plan for $79 with code 2YSpecial2017. Lifehacker has recommended Nord in some previous guides, but if you have any firsthand experience with the service, sound off in the comments!

Top Home Deals

Amazon’s having a one day fire sale (sorry, sorry) on Zippo lighters, lighter fluid, and more, with the iconic lighter starting at just $7, with tons of varieties available.

In addition to the lighters though, you should also take note of Zippo’s hand warmers, now that winter is just around the corner. I own one of these, and it’s awesome. You just fill it with lighter fluid, light the wick, put it in the included bag, and it’ll stay nice and toasty for hours on end.

There’s no shortage of varieties available, so go pick your favorite before this deal burns out.

Amazon is offering very hot discounts on Kenmore window unit air conditioners today. Even if it collects dust until next summer, it’s worth it - all window units included are legitimately around 50% off their usual prices.

These units are smart units, meaning, like most new home accessories these days, you can download an app and control the temperature and set a schedule with your phone. They’re even Alexa enabled if you have one of those.

The different AC units vary by BTUs and room size so scroll down on a product page and check the table if you’re unsure which one to buy.

If you like to do your own oil changes, or aren’t afraid to tinker on the underside of your car, these inexpensive RhinoRamps are the quickest way to elevate your car. Obviously, they won’t help you for tire changes, and they won’t give you a ton of clearance, but for quick, basic maintenance, they should get the job done. $28 is the best price Amazon’s ever offered, but it’s only available for Prime members.

Cleaning my car has to go up there on my list of least favorite chores, so I normally end up paying a place $20+ to do it for me. Maybe if I had this soap foamer/vacuum/dryer car washer, I would do it myself.

After you connect this car washer to a hose and electrical outlet, you can use the soap foamer to suds up your car, spray it off, and then use the same machine to blow it dry. That means no more water spots.

For your car’s interior, you can use the vacuum function to suck all the hair, french fry crumbs, and dust from the hard-to-reach spots, and then just like that, you have yourself a clean car.

Priced at $60 with code 75EOP6XT, it will pay for itself after a couple of missed car washes.

If you ever make tacos at home, do yourself a favor and pick up some of these metal taco holders for just $6 each. If you use them as shown in the picture above, they’ll hold two tacos, but flip them over and <audience gasps> they hold three tacos!

In a world where we know how many steps we’ve taken in a day and the specific firmness of our mattress, why not extend that precise knowledge to our showers?

This Techboss digital shower thermometer monitors the water temperature in real time, letting you find exactly the perfect temperature for you.

It is also a great product for parents, who can monitor the temperature before their easily-over-heated toddlers get in.

Today, it’s just $17, which is the exact price we want it to be. Well, it’s the lowest price we’ve seen, but you get where I’m going with that.

Anker’s HomeVac Duo vacuum transforms from handheld to upright, has the impressive runtime you’d expect from the brand that makes your favorite battery packs, a washable HEPA filter, and a great warranty. That’s quite a package for $80 (or $83 for certain colors), the best price we’ve ever seen.

This was Anker’s first foray into cleaning products, and reviewers seem to love it so far. It’ll run for 24 minutes on a charge at full power, or an hour in eco mode, which should be sufficient for most average-sized homes. The standout feature though is definitely the detachable hand vac, which lets you clean furniture, shelves, and even your car with ease.

I’m convinced that 30 ounce stainless steel tumblers are the pinnacle of human drinking glass technology, and will never be bested. They’re all basically the same, so don’t overpay for a YETI; get this $9 X-Chef instead with promo code MKFG9WIY.

If churning ice cream machines are a little too hands-off for you, then we might have found the answer to your ice cream prayers.

This Sweet Spot Instant Ice Cream Maker is basically a stone you throw in the freezer that you use to solidify your homemade ice cream mixtures. You do all the “churning” with the provided tools and can mix in whatever toppings you please.

I could see this being a fun activity to do with kids. As an added bonus, depending on your recipe, you can make exactly how much ice cream you need without keeping a whole pint in the freezer to tempt you if you don’t want it to.

It’s cheaper than ever today at just $34 after 15% off coupon. Discount will be taken at checkout.

A heat gun probably isn’t something you’ll use every day, but it’s definitely worth having one in your toolbox; just look at a few of the ideas from Lifehacker below. This model is a bit more expensive than some others we’ve seen, but it has three temperature settings (including a 122 degree cool-down mode), and four attachments to help you channel the heat properly for different jobs.

You already know that packing cubes can make traveling slightly less terrible (though they won’t stop United from beating your ass), but Gonex’s take on the product category includes a second zipper and extra material, allowing them to expand while you’re packing, and compress when it’s time to stuff everything in to your carry-on. For a limited time, get a set of three in the color of your choice for $13 with promo code AY9S85YS.

Saliva-based ancestry DNA tests probably won’t tell you anything profound, but they’re fun, and make great gifts, so you may want to pick one for $79.

Without an instant read thermometer, you can waste a lot of oven heat with the door open as it slowly ticks up to finally settle on the correct temperature after about a minute or so. But with an instant read, like this Dr. Meter Meat Thermometer, the thermometer only spend 4-5 seconds calculating, letting you get back to cooking without too much energy waste.

This model is not your favorite, but it is way cheaper than the Thermapen at just $9 today with code J5GIWWA9 today.

Fried foods are delicious. Fried foods will kill you. These are the laws of our cruel existence, and generally-speaking, there’s no avoiding them. But this Bella air fryer uses convection to achieve fried-like crispiness using no oil at all. Are the results as delicious as the real thing? Probably not, but if you believe the reviews, it comes pretty damn close.

You never know when a hot glue gun might come in handy, so pick one up for $17 if you don’t already own one. It even comes with 30 sticks of glue, which should last most people for years, if not decades.

In addition to their attractive designs, these Aukey desk lamps have the three big features you’d want: A USB charging port for your phone, adjustable brightness, and most importantly, multiple color temperature options. It seems like a small thing, but different light temperatures can boost your productivity, or help you get to sleep at night.

With a reliable motion sensor and an easy-to-charge battery pack, I’ve put OxyLED’s T-04 light strips in every closet of my apartment. I might just have to rip them out now though and replace them with this new model, which features a warmer color temperature, in addition to all of the old model’s features.

You buy a ton of ergonomic butt pillows from Kinja Deals for around ~$10-15. We haven’t sat on most of them, but I did sit on this one all week, and the results are immediate, and my back feels great.

The ZGUP (ugh) basically forces you to sit with better posture, and lives up to its name in making you feel pretty weightless at the same time. If you’ve got bad posture or back pain and spend a lot of time sitting (that’s basically everyone), this is an easy recommendation.

When we asked the campaign to release more cushions at the sold out $59 early bird price point exclusively for our readers, we had not yet seen the obscene $18 shipping costs. This is still definitely worth it to not be in pain, but, yeah.

Did you know you’ve been pooping all wrong? It’s true! Luckily, the obscenely popular Squatty Potty is designed to lift your legs into an ideal bowel movement position, and you can get a 7" or 9" model for just $19 on Amazon today. These things don’t go on sale often, so if you’ve had your eye on one, it’s officially time to poop or get off the pot.

BioLite, maker of our favorite camping stoves and lighting, is back with a FirePit we’ve been psyched about since we saw it in action back in December. Their Kickstarter launched today and is already... on fire.

Update: BioLite is running low on $199 preorder bonuses with the free solar cover (only about 500 left as of October 6), so get yours while you can.

The BioLite FirePit is easy to transport, minimizes smoke, is see-through for maximum fire viewing, uses wood or charcoal, and doubles as a hibachi grill. The secret here is an advanced circulation system that’s powered by a removable battery pack (which you can plug your phone into, natch), but unlike some of BioLite’s other products, the flames won’t recharge that battery themselves.

That said, Kickstarter preorders include a solar cover for free that will recharge the battery when the pit isn’t in use, but about a third of the units available at the $199 level are already gone, so don’t let this one smolder.

If you live in a city with Amazon Prime Now, but haven’t yet tried it, you can save $10 on your first order with promo code 10PRIMENOW.

All you have to do is build a cart with at least $20 worth of eligible goods from Amazon, and enter that code at checkout to get the deal. I’ve literally built Prime Now orders in the past that consisted of nothing but ice cream and junk food, but they recently added a selection of healthier stuff from Whole Foods as well, so you should have no trouble taking advantage.

Just remember that this deal is only available in cities with Prime Now service, and only first time Prime Now customers are eligible.

Top Lifestyle Deals

TOMS is no longer just the purveyor of canvas slip-ons. They have a ton of options for basically every kind of shoe person, from sneakers, to dress shoes, to sandals, and yes, boots. Use the code BOOTS25 at checkout and take 25% off boots for men and women, so you can be a little more weather appropriate in the coming months.

Right now, GAP has a huge sale where everything is discounted up to 60%, which is great, sure. But they’re throwing in an additional 40% off with the code MORE. The exclusions list is long (as usual), and it does include denim this time around, but there are a ton of majorly marked down pairs that you won’t even need the extra discount to grab for cheap.

They also just dropped a bunch of new arrivals for both men and women, just in time for the new season.

If you’re trying to keep an eye on your blood pressure (can’t imagine why!), Amazon will sell you this Omron 7 Series electronic monitor today for $49 after clipping the 20% coupon.

In addition to storing 120 readings on the device itself, this monitor can connect to your smartphone over Bluetooth, and sync all of your data to a free app (as well as Apple HealthKit), making it easy to track of your progress over time.

Not to stress you out, but we aren’t sure how long the $10 coupon will be available, so don’t delay.

Pack your stuff in a new Timbuk2 bag. Get 30% off select styles, plus free shipping, when you use code T24LIFE, which include the ever-popular Commute and Command Bags, and make sure your commute is packed well. There’s everything from one of your favorite carry-ons to your favorite laptop bags.

Celebrate J.Crew Factory’s 5th birthday (it seems longer than five years) with an extra 50% off their entire clearance section. Use the code BIGFIVE and take an extra 50% off all clearance items, plus free shipping, which is insane seeing as practically everything is already marked down under $100. Maybe hold off on cleaning out your closet until after this sale is over.

Caffeine, but in pill form. Each of these slow-release pills has 100mg of caffeine, or about as much as a small cup of coffee, and you can get 100 of them for $13.

Top Media Deals

In what I assume is recompense for all the horrible movies we’ve been subjected to recently (Wonder Woman excluded), a whole bunch of digital DC comics are free right now on Amazon. There’s no catch, no membership requirement, and no limit to how many you can download.

At $8 per month (for Prime members), Amazon Music Unlimited was already more affordable than Spotify Premium or Apple Music, but Amazon’s sweetening the pot right now with a $5 Amazon.com credit when you sign up for a free trial with promo code MUSIC5.

A similar deal was briefly available a couple of weeks ago with a $10 credit, but if you missed out on that one, this is still basically free money, considering you can spend it on anything shipped and sold by Amazon directly. You can even cancel the 30 day trial before you pay up, and you’ll still get to keep the credit. Just note that this promotion is only for new Amazon Music Unlimited subscribers.

It’s the lowest price ever for every episode of Parks and Recreation DVD box set. Easily worth the $19 for Ron Swanson one-liners, and when you throw in Tom/Donna friendship, $19 is a steal.

Getting started with Bitcoin can be daunting, but everything you need to know about cryptocurrencies and the blockchain tech that powers them is covered with Humble’s latest ebook bundle. 14 different titles are spread across three different price tiers, and you can get them all for just $15, or six for as little as $1. And yes, you can pay for them with Bitcoin.

If you like to read, and aren’t opposed to doing it on an electronic device of some sort, here’s your no-brainer deal of the day. Humble’s latest bundle features two dozen DRM-free ebooks, and you can get them all for as little as $18, or some for just $1.

These aren’t books you’d find in the budget bin at the bookstore either. The list includes classics like Octavia Butler’s Dawn, John Brunner’s Shockwave Rider and All My Sins Remembered by Joe Haldeman.

As always with Humble Bundles, the titles are locked behind a few different price tiers, but you can pay whatever you want, and a portion of the proceeds will go to charity.

Amazon always offers a free one-month trial of its Audible audiobook service, but for a limited time, they’re also tossing in two free book credits to sweeten the pot . That’s in addition to the book you normally get with the trial, and each credit is valid for any title in the Audible library. The best part? The books you choose are yours to keep, even if you cancel the trial before it renews.

Just note that this deal is only valid for new Audible members only.

Top Gaming Deals

Humble’s newest bundle is filled with RPGs that will give you hours upon hours of enjoyment. Each price tier is highlighted by a Borderlands game, but several lesser-known titles are included as well.

What’s your favorite game of the bunch? Let us know in the comments!

Assassin’s Creed is heading to ancient Egypt later this month, and this is your periodic reminder that Prime members can preorder the game for $48. Just note that you won’t see the discount until checkout.

Super Mario Odyssey is only about a month away, and here’s a friendly reminder that if you have Amazon Prime, you can preorder it for $12 off(discount shown at checkout). This deal is valid up until release day, but Amazon’s been known to sell out of preorders of popular Nintendo games in the past, so it might behoove you to place your order early.

You can also preorder a Switch bundle with exclusive Joy-Con, and the game included.

If you’re lucky enough to own a Nintendo Switch, you’d better take good care of it. This $10 carrying case has a hard shell, a soft interior, a pocket for accessories, and storage for eight games.

The Humble Monthly subscription plan delivers you a selection of new games (to keep!) every month, gives you 10% off everything in the Humble Store, and donates 5% of each month’s proceeds to charity.

This month, they’re kicking things off with Quake Champions, The Elder Scrolls: Legends, and The Elder Scrolls Online, in addition to whatever indie games they roll out throughout the month. Again these are yours to keep with anymembership, even if you cancel it. Month-to-month subscriptions cost $12, and can be cancelled any time, but you can save more if you pre-pay for longer periods.

Humble is mostly known for selling games, but today, they’re selling stuff to help you make those games yourself.

The bundle includes a number of RPG Maker software programs, plus a few full RPG games to give you inspiration. Purchased separately, all of the software would cost nearly $700, but today, you can get it all for as little as $15.
