President Vladimir TrumPutin is a lot of things, but camera shy isn’t one of them. Since taking office, he’s had the news crews around him every time he’s signed one of his 1,000 executive orders. Yet, on Thursday, as news broke that the U.S. had just dropped the “Mother of All Bombs” on an Afghanistan area believed to be Islamic State-group-related, either tunnels or actual Islamic State personnel or both, the dictator in chief was squirreled away in private, somewhere in the corner of the Oval Office, signing legislation that would allow states to withhold federal funding from Planned Parenthood.
The action, according to the Associated Press, erases former President Barack Obama’s rule that blocked states from withholding federal Title X funding from women’s organizations that perform abortions, including Planned Parenthood.
“Planned Parenthood strongly opposes President Trump’s willingness to undermine millions of women’s access to birth control through the Title X family-planning program,” Planned Parenthood Executive Vice President Dawn Laguens said in a statement, The Hill reports.
“Four million people depend on the Title X family-planning program, and by signing this bill, President Trump disregards their health and well-being.”
