This Guy Pitched An Idea For Twitter That Myspace Did 14 Years Ago And People Are Dragging Him Hard

"TWITTER NEEDS AN UPDATE WHERE U CAN PLAY MUSIC ON UR PAGE"

Twitter user @Oggkin thought he had stumbled upon a genius idea:

TWITTER NEEDS AN UPDATE WHERE U CAN PLAY MUSIC ON UR PAGE SO WHEN SOMEBODY COME ON UR PAGE THEY GON BE HEARING YA FAV SONG.

Add the option to put music on your Twitter page! Sounds like a revolutionary idea, right?

Well, the tweet went viral (and was picked up by other accounts), but people started to realize something:

Oh no the generation who never knew MySpace thinking they coming up with something creative https://t.co/vh2MHnoIWV

    Oh yeah...MYSPACE DID THAT.

Other people pointed out that Tumblr currently does the same thing.

@Oggkin @drumsjdm this is like tumblr

Some brought up reminders from the Myspace days about why this kind of power was always a bad idea.

@Oggkin @xadrizzle Nah cause some people will bring back the moaning thing so I will go on someone's page with my parents and moaning starts

However, @Oggkin stood firm and claimed that this was NOT the same as Myspace.

Foh with that MySpace shit, if anything I got this from Bebo lame ass mfs

    It's more like Bebo, duh.

The moral of the story is this: Don't forget about 2005.
