I don't see why you would want to do port forwarding on your home router.  (unless you want to be out on the open Internet and view these web pages - which I think would be a potentially big security hole)

If the computer you want to view it on is behind your home router, as are the miners, just use the miner's IP address. Your traffic wouldn't be going thru the router at that point, so no changes with port forwarding needed. You will have to start the miner's with "... --api IP:42000 ...". Where IP is that specific miner's IP address.

I thought I saw someone had a parameter that automatically changed the IP address to the correct one?  Something like %IP ?  Back around page 110, but I've searched and not found it yet.

So once I have added that to the command line, how exactly can I access it from another machine on the home network?

you just navigate to the ip address and port number that you have put in the config file.

ie

http://192.168.1.201:42000/

if the ip is 192.168.1.201 and the port is still 42000

Can someone write a small program - a monitor? Like ETHmon, by Claymore's for his miner. To collect data from several IP / rigs?
For Windows, and for Android too )

Totikk,
For monitoring I usually use my phone for monitoring, this can be done with this apps:
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=xyz.cryptomines.nanopool
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=xyz.cryptomines.zcash

Of course use accordingly depending on your mining pool.

I've decided to convert my AMD rigs to Nvidia to gain some space for more gpus. I've listed my rx series gpus on some auction website and I've received crazy offers lol. Then checked online stores and discovered that 1060, 1070, 1080 and 1080 ti is out of stock. Crazy? Yes Smiley

A week ago I left several browser tabs open to GPUs on Newegg. Last Friday, I noticed them and hit refresh.  About half of them showed as out-of-stock, the other half had 15% price increases.  The 1060 I bought on 6/10 for $240 isn't available from Newegg, but a third party (JoyMall) has stepped in and offers them for $499. The 1070 I purchased for $410 is now $480 and limit one.

I am watching Amazon closely just because this is interesting. 1070's came in stock at $400, I added 20 to cart to see if they would add and it went through. Ordered one. Came back to order another and they were gone. A minute later jumped up to $700. All under 5 minutes of coming in stock.

edit: the 1070's are coming in and out of stock tonight for $400 on business prime.

ZEC network hashrate is at an all-time high right now - by a narrow margin over a short spike a couple weeks back.

A lot of miners WILL chase the "most profitable" coin - which is why I tend to refer to "the basket" of coins that have similar profitability, when one moves miners shift and even them out.

Right now the basket is huge - TONS of high-profit coins to choose from, more than at any other time in the short history of Cryptocoin Mining.

5 years from now, miners will probably be looking at this timeframe we're in right now as "the golden age" and the Litecoin/X11 craze days as "the silver age".

so basically Zcash's days are numbered...in probably a month from now, it would be next to impossible to mine Zcash right?

more like 6 months minimum, and probably a good bit longer if ETH lives up to it's "planned phase-in" starting around the end of the year.

Where the heck are you comming up with "a month"HuhHuh

So if Ethereum will half the reward in August (2.5) miners will switch gpus to the next most profitable coin (which is Zcash for now).
Zcash difficulty will jump remarkably high. And so on with VTC, SIB, etc.

Is there any chance to pay out new gpu rig in half a year or so?

I have Antminer S7 x2, and want to switch to GPU 1070 Rig.

How come I only get 80% power with my GTX 1070 instead of 115%, unless the "Power & sleep settings" (as typed in Windows search) window is opened (can be minimized) ?

Is this a bug with the miner or Windows 10 ?

I've got Windows 10 with Anniversary update installed, haven't installed Creator's update yet.
Edit: Got Creator's update now with the latest insider build (fast ring), still the same problem.

Found a fix: Change Nvidia Power management mode from "Optimal Power" to "Prefer maximum performance" or "Adaptive".

Please tell me How to display this screen?

On your miner add the "--api" parameter, then you will be able to access it by loading 127.0.0.1:42000 on your browser.

Jumping to ridiculous conclusions that have no bearing in reality is not helpful. Even less helpful when you vent them publicly where the wrong person might read it and think it is true. This is how FUD spreads.
ZEC difficulty is always going to get smashed when ethereum is hurting, eventually enough people will switch algos and things will settle down again. The fact of the matter is mining either coin is still crazy profitable right now. Even after this diff adjustments my rigs are still making $200 a week.

When ETH goes PoS ZEC difficulty will go sky high and profitability will drop and only the most efficient miners will survive because of all the new rigs that have come online the last few months. That's not FUD just facts. Mining is boom and bust business.
Mimblewimble is an anonamous version of Bitcoin, hopefully that will be released and can be mined by GPU before ETH goes PoS, that will offset all the ETH GPU looking for new coin to mine

@EWBF_
The new system with config file since version 3.04b is great but I'm experiencing a little problem..

I have set in the config file:
Code:
[server]
server eu1-zcash.flypool.org
port   3333
user   t1QmwNgVc6VrhTuGgL9so7jeVz1BYcN3dPz.%COMPUTERNAME%
pass   x

Normally the worker name on the pool should be name of the machine running the miner by interpreting the environment variable %COMPUTERNAME%
Instead the worker is literally referenced as %COMPUTERNAME% so it seems environment variables are not interpreted by the miner reading the config file.
Is this indeed the case or am I just doing something wrong ?

there is a chance that also the value of zcash will jump very high to help the diff going high, if ETH go down in some way all other alt go up and the profit will remain the same i think, nothing to worry about

ZCash value has already jumped - and I don't see anywhere near as strong of a reason for it compared to ETH.

I wouldn't count on more climb, but I didn't expect to see the CURRENT climb.

Ethereum isn't going to "half the reward in August" - they're talking 1% move to PoS or something like that END OF YEAR (as in December).

At current pricing on GPUs, and current income level they generate, ROI in 6 months seems .... maybe. Depends on if prices go up any more AND how many more new rigs get deployed driving up the network hashrate you have to compete with.
With the last week or so of more-or-less flat pricing, and the network hashrate jump in that time, I've already seen profitability drop quite a bit....

It's NOT a good sign that NVidia cards that are good at ETH mining are ALSO selling out and getting price gouged - GTX 1070 availability has been very spotty AT BEST the last week, when I looked at NewEgg today the highest-priced GTX 1070 (MSI Gaming model, NOT a water-cooled card) was at the SAME price as the lowest-priced GTX 1080 TI model (not 1080, 1080 TI - both at $700) - and only 3 other 1070 models listed in stock at all, ALL of them quite a bit higher in price than MSRP.
1060s are also climbing, though they don't have AS BAD of availability - yet.

I've also seen a couple reports that NVidia is deliberately not raising their production on the affected products, as they're worried about a "channel glut" when the inevitable crash comes - which is probably WHY they're doing the "mining specific card" thing in the first place - once the crash happens, those cards aren't going to glut the used marketplace and drag sales of new cards down much if at all.

 scyth33 -

EVGA has "black edition" for MOST of their GTX 1070 models - WHICH cards do you have?

I'm no longer legendary just in my own mind!

Hi there, the thread is long and i couldnt find an answer, anyway from time to time i got 0 sols on all cards and i need to close the miner and open it again. IS there any automatic solution like script or something which can do this automatically? If cards start making 0 sols, end the process and start it again?

Hi, I'm in despair... I keep getting this:

ERROR: Looks like GPU1 are stopped. Restart attempt.

Then upon restart I get this:
ERROR: Cannot initialize NVML. Temperature monitor will not work!
...and one card is not showing up.

To make things worse, when I reboot the PC, one card is hidden in device manager with error code "Currently, this hardware device is not connected to the computer. (Code 45)". Only way to get it back is to DDU and reinstall the driver.

As soon as I start mining again, I will get the same shit happening within a few minutes.

I'd really appreciate any help, it's driving me nuts!
Thx
