EDXC Conference, Andorra 6 to 8 Sept 2019

Here are the accommodation and current travel details for the 2019 EDXC Conference in Andorra.

Registration will open on the afternoon on Friday 6 September and the conference will start in the evening of Friday 6th September. Conference sessions and excursions (still at the planning stages) will run on Saturday 7th and Sunday 8th September. We may arrange an informal day of local exploration for those that wish to stay on after the conference on Monday 9th September.

We are also looking at possibilities of an EDXC visit to Toulouse or Barcelona for a couple of days after the conference.

Conference Hotel

This year the EDXC conference will be held at the Golden Tulip Andorra Fenix Hotel in Escaldes-Engordany.

The prices for the rooms are as follow (breakfast included) :
SINGLE room : 75,12 euros
DOUBLE/TWIN room : 85,85 euros
TRIPLE room : 122 ,33 euros

Extra nights are at the same prices.

To book you must send an e-mail to: reserves@daguisa.com    You must specify GOLDEN TULIP EDXC MEETING as well as the names of the participants. You must also pay a deposit of 30% by credit card. The rest will be paid directly to the hotel.

Cancellation rules: free cancellation up to 7 days before arrival, after 100% of the price will be charged. (These are the usual conditions of the hotel).

If possible, please book accommodation before June 1st, but the price is still guaranteed after.

Travel, how to reach Andorra
Andorra is located between France and Spain but has no airport or train line.

The closest railway station is in HOSPITALET –ANDORRE,  with regular regional connections from Toulouse  www.ter.sncf.com/occitanie also a direct Night Train from Paris Austerlitz (in 10 hours) www.oui.sncf
from there 2 times a day, there is a bus to  Andorra.

The fastest way to reach Andorra is by plane to Toulouse or Barcelona. Buses to Andorra from those two cities are priced around 60€ for a round trip.

Direct from Barcelona Airport T1 & T2, 7  buses a day. This company proposes a  door to door service.

From TOULOUSE :

From Andorra la Vella Bus Station, taxis are available, but the hotel is around 1,5 km, so not very far.
