Kanye Returns to Social Media

He’s back on Instagram after a long silence

Kanye West has returned to social media. After deleting his Twitter and Instagram accounts in May 2017, he has reactivated Instagram. His Twitter remains inactive. Around 2:50 p.m. Eastern, West posted a photograph of a card that has “Happy Valentines Day Babe” written on it. About 38 minutes later, he posted a photo of Madonna and Sean Penn. Seven minutes later, he shared a photo of Barack and Michelle Obama. He followed that with photos of more couples, including Tupac & Aaliyah and Cindy Crawford & Richard Gere. Kanye West first joined Instagram in September 2016. Months before joining, he tweeted, “I was thinking about getting an Instagram but only on one condition,” adding, “no one can ask me or try to tell me what to Instagram... It’s my art...”
