Jack Black and Kyle Gass’ rock duo Tenacious D have announced Post-Apocalypto, a new album and animated YouTube series of the same name. The series—which debuts September 28—was drawn by Jack Black and spans six episodes. Each episode will feature new songs, leading up to the release of the album on November 2 via Columbia. Post-Apocalypto was produced by John Spiker and features drums from Dave Grohl. Scroll down to see the cover art. The duo embark on tour this fall.
According to a press release, Tenacious D’s “Post-Apocalypto” series involves Black and Gass exploring a “world of complete and utter destruction following the drop of an atomic bomb.” It will feature “an insane visit to the White House, a time machine, a space adventure, and the help of some tried and true daddy issues.” Check out a teaser below.
